StarMed Healthcare launched behavioral health services to support their patients beyond just their physical health. With StarMed’s primary demographic being individuals and families from some of Charlotte’s most under-resourced communities, we had the challenge of making our stance on mental health crystal clear: It’s just as important as physical health, and everyone deserves access to therapy. Below is an assortment of emails I wrote to send at various times throughout the year — they’re not all tied to one campaign or series. Most of the emails are targeted to adult patients, with one email geared specifically towards parents of children who might be struggling.

In case no one has said this to you lately, your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
Mental and behavioral healthcare should not be seen as luxuries. It’s time to remove the barriers preventing you from getting the help you need.
That’s why StarMed is proud to offer affordable access to behavioral health services.
With regular counseling sessions, our professional, licensed behavioral health providers are here to help you cope with trauma, manage anxiety and depression, and help you establish internal healing so that you can live the life you’ve always wanted to.

You can opt for in-person therapy or virtual sessions via telehealth. We offer an affordable membership that gives patients access to regular 45-minute sessions for just $75.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
We believe your mental health is just as important as your physical health. And we’re not the only ones! The number of people who receive mental health treatment and counseling is rising each year.
A recent survey found that over 20% of adults in the U.S. are getting help for their mental health. We’re finally addressing the stigma around mental health treatment and it’s about time.
If you’re having a hard time right now, please know that you’re not alone.
